Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Ethbat, including its dashboard, APIs, review collection pages, and ecommerce integrations. By creating an account or connecting a store, the merchant accepts these terms.
The service
Ethbat provides tools to synchronize limited product and eligible order data, create review requests, moderate reviews, and return approved review data through the platform and APIs. Features marked beta, pilot, planned, or coming soon are not guaranteed production features.
Merchant ownership and license
The merchant retains all rights in its store information, product data, customer relationships, and review content it is entitled to use. The merchant grants Ethbat a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transform for technical delivery, moderate, and display that content only to provide the service and according to the merchant's settings. Ethbat does not acquire ownership of merchant data.
Merchant obligations
- Provide accurate account and store information and protect all connection tokens.
- Share only data necessary for review operations and never send payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive data.
- Have a lawful basis to share customer data and request reviews, provide required notices, and honor opt-outs.
- Use review requests for genuine post-transaction feedback, not unsolicited advertising or harassment.
- Not manipulate, purchase, fabricate, suppress unlawfully, or misrepresent reviews.
Customer content and moderation
Review authors remain responsible for their submissions. Merchants may moderate content for relevance, privacy, abuse, and legality, but must not present edited or selective content in a misleading manner. Ethbat may restrict or remove unlawful, fraudulent, unsafe, infringing, or abusive content.
Integrations and messaging
The merchant authorizes the connected plugin or API client to send the configured minimum data to Ethbat. Automated messaging remains disabled unless explicitly enabled after configuration and eligibility checks. The merchant is responsible for its messaging account, recipients, consent, templates, timing, and provider rules.
Security
Ethbat applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including restricted server access, encrypted customer contacts, hashed connection secrets, rate controls, and purpose-limited retention. The merchant must promptly revoke compromised tokens and notify Ethbat of suspected misuse. No system is completely immune from failure or attack.
Suspension and termination
A merchant may disconnect an integration or stop using Ethbat. Ethbat may suspend access to protect customers, merchants, infrastructure, or legal compliance, including in cases of abuse, security risk, non-payment, or repeated policy violations. Data deletion requests are handled subject to backups, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal retention.
Availability and liability
Ethbat is provided on an as-available basis during the MVP and pilot stages. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, delivery of every message, increased sales, or freedom from third-party platform changes. To the extent allowed by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product and law develop. Material changes will be dated and communicated where appropriate. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance.
